Vineyard:
The vineyards at Murfatlar are situated on the sunny shores of the Black Sea in Eastern Romania.
Climate / Quality of the soil:
A continental climate prevails with an annual average temperature of 11.5oC, and a strong influence from the vicinity of the River Danube and the Black Sea. The soils are chernozem and have a light to mild carbon and lime concentration. The altitude is about 50-100m above sea level.
Winemaking process:
Hand harvesting at full maturity; grapes carefully selected
De-stemming
Gently crushed
Skin maceration for 15 hours
Controlled fermentation for 26 days at 15-16°C

Wine composition:
Alcohol: 12%
Total acidity: 6.45 g/L
Residual sugar: 47 g/L

Food matches:
An ideal aperitif, but it can be also served with cookies and desserts that feature fresh fruits .
