Vineyard:
“Terasele Dunarii” area is located in Southern Romania, on the left side of the Danube River, the second longest river in Europe. The quality of the wines produced here is ensured by the region’s natural conditions, excellent for cultivation of vines.
Climate / Quality of the soil:
A continental climate prevails with an annual average temperature of 10.9oC, warm summers and cold winters.
The soils are chernozem and have a light till midst carbon and lime concentration. The Danube and its area creates a microclimate who provides the vine with humidity, warmth, luminosity and favorable conditions necessary for a good development.

Winemaker comments:
A deep ruby red wine, aged in new oak barrels, with an individual character, given by the most valued native Romanian grape variety, Feteasca Neagra. This soft, complex wine presents aromas of prunes, raisins, with slight traces of spices (cinnamon, cloves).
Food matches:
Ideal to be served with complex dishes with meat or mushrooms, roast or grilled meat and smoked cheese.
Drinking temperature:
Best served at 16 – 18°C
